Northeastern’s LEED Certified Projects

Northeastern University’s Facilities Management is committed to building a greener future, and has integrated sustainability into all of its design, construction, and operating procedures and standards.  Through these efforts, we have achieved LEED-certified buildings as well as spaces, that improve efficiency, conserve resources, and provide a healthy environment for our campus community.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the most widely used rating system for sustainable buildings.  LEED provides a framework for healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings, and is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement and leadership.

LEED is administered by the U.S. Green Building Council, a nonprofit coalition of building industry leaders.  There are four levels of certification: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Certified.
