Donating blood is an essential part of community health, and with a shelf life of only 42 days, the need for blood  is constant.  There is currently a nation-wide blood shortage due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but thanks to the help of the Facilities Management staff, Northeastern University was able to host an American Red Cross blood drive at Matthews Arena for emergency donations on April 15.  With such an important event made successful, Northeastern is already coordinating the next blood drive with the Red Cross to take place at Matthews Arena Monday May 4th 12:00pm – 5:00pm.  For more information on the blood drive or to sign up please visit the Red Cross page.
