Environmentally Healthy Campus
Northeastern will be a model of a sustainable, healthy, interconnected and just community.
Our surrounding communities are subjected to some of the worst air quality and related health impacts in the region. We aim to improve community health and contribute to addressing climate change by taking a place-based approach to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and other air pollutants, minimizing consumption and congestion, increasing green space, and improving the health of our buildings. In order to directly benefit and accurately measure impacts of our actions to students and community members, we aim to focus on eliminating direct emissions on campus.
