Planning a successful event at Northeastern

The Planning, Real Estate, and Facilities’ (PREF) Event Services team will work with you to book, plan, and host your event. Below you’ll find all the information you need for an event of any size. 

Booking process 

Here’s what you can expect at each step of the booking spaces for events:


Choose your event space

Northeastern has a wide variety of venues available for every size and type of event. Learn more about available spaces here.  


Book your space

Reserve your event space by filling out the booking form or contacting the event space manager. Once you’ve reserved the space, you will receive a confirmation email with further instructions. 


Request services 

Once your space is reserved, you will receive an email with a form to request services. Event details will be required. 


Frequently asked questions

Who can host an event?

Northeastern faculty and staff can host events through the process listed above. Students interested in hosting an event should coordinate through their Program Manager.

Non-student, faculty or staff members interested in hosting an event on campus should fill out the External Events Inquiry Form and a member of the events team will contact you.

How much time do I need to plan my event?

The time needed to plan an event varies with the size, venue, and type of event. You must submit the Facilities Event Service Request Form a minimum of 14 days from the date of the event.

    Where can I find parking information?

    Parking information for events can be found here. You can visit this MassParc page for additional information about available parking on our Boston campus.

    My space is booked, how do I request services?

    Once your booking has been accepted, you should receive an email containing a link to the appropriate services request form.  

    Note that if your event requires electrical support, you must fill out the Facilities Event Service Request Form.  You will need to supply the following information.


    • Date and time of your event 
    • Booking confirmation number (if provided) 
    • Type of event 
    • Expected number of attendees 
    • Catering needs 
    • Electrical support needs 

    I am a student, how can I reserve a study or meeting space?

    Students can reserve space throughout campus here. 

      How do I order signs for my event?
